Tennessee Vols football reaches unexpected milestone

If you would've told me in early 2021 that the Tennessee Vols would be 4-0 in 2022 with a win over the Florida Gators and ranked in the top 10, I would've suggested that you get some counseling.
And I would've been the one that was wrong.
Tennessee is 4-0, they beat Florida on Saturday, and they're now ranked No. 8 in the latest AP Top 25 poll.
It's the highest the Vols have been ranked since 2006 when they reached No. 7 in the nation ahead of their matchup with Alabama (the Vols beat Alabama and actually slipped in the polls to No. 8 that season).

I don't want to heap too much praise on Josh Heupel — he still has a lot to prove as Tennessee's head coach.
But I really can't imagine a better start (realistically) to his Vols tenure than what we've seen during his first 17 games in Knoxville.
Since taking over at UT, Heupel is 11-6, he's beaten three ranked teams (two on the road), he owns a win over Florida, and the Vols have the No. 5 scoring offense in the nation.
Tennessee has always been a special place and Heupel is reminding folks why.
