Vols WR Jauan Jennings

Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jauan Jennings wasn't in Neyland Stadium for UT's 52-49 win over Alabama, but he still lit up a cigar to celebrate.

Jennings, who plays for the San Francisco 49ers, wasn't at the game due to his NFL obligations (the 49ers had a game in Atlanta against the Falcons).

But he was just as excited as anyone that Tennessee pulled off the win.

Jennings spoke to reporters about the win this week in the 49ers locker room. And he was practically beaming while discussing the game.

"I'm passionate about the University of Tennessee," said Jennings. "That's where I'm from — born and raised. To see those guys come out there and do what they did, it just means a lot."

"I wish I was there," added Jennings. "I had one (a cigar). I sent a video to most of the guys I played college football with. We all got to just have fun with that moment for a little bit. I'm ready for the next one next year. Let's go."

Jennings is one of the most beloved Vols of all time. He never stepped on the field at Tennessee without giving his all. And while he never beat Alabama (he did beat Georgia twice and Florida once), at least he got to enjoy the moment this past weekend with the rest of Vol Nation.
