The wedding invitation arrives in the mail and you look at the date and you realize that you've gotta attend a wedding right in the middle of college football season.
Even worse, the date falls on a Saturday when the Tennessee Vols are playing a huge rivalry game.
It's among the worst feelings you can experience.
Ok, maybe that's a bit dramatic. But in the south, even the most ardent supporters of love would prefer to see that wedding happen in the spring instead of the fall.
And that's a take that Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel happens to agree with.
Heupel was asked about his take on fall weddings during Vol Calls on Wednesday night.
A fan from Charlotte called in to the show and mentioned that he'll miss most of Saturday's game against Alabama because of a friend's wedding.
“I thought you were going to say you were going to miss your buddy's wedding," said Heupel to the caller. "I don’t know how anybody gets married in the fall. I didn’t know that was a thing.”
There you have it. If you're a Tennessee fan and you have a friend/family member that's a fellow Tennessee fan that's planning a fall wedding, just show them this comment from Heupel. Maybe they'll reconsider and push that wedding to the spring.
