The Tennessee Vols learned their postseason destination on Sunday afternoon.
Tennessee finished No. 6 in the final College Football Playoff rankings, one spot behind Alabama, a team the Vols beat earlier this season.
Alabama will head to the Sugar Bowl which means Tennessee is going to the Orange Bowl.
The Vols will play Clemson after the Tigers' win against North Carolina in the ACC Championship game on Saturday night.
Tennessee should be in the Sugar Bowl. Their resumé is better than Alabama's. But the Crimson Tide get the benefit of the doubt, despite losing to the Vols, because of Nick Saban.
The Orange Bowl matchup against Clemson, however, is a more compelling matchup for the Vols. So even though Tennessee didn't get the respect they deserved, they still end up in a great bowl game.
Tennessee and Clemson will play on December 30 at 8:00 PM ET in Miami.
