Why Tennessee has Ohio State fans nervous

And, unsurprisingly, it has to do with recruiting.
2025 five-star safety (per 247Sports composite rankings) Jontae Gilbert committed to Ohio State last July.
Gilbert, 6-foot-1/175 lbs from Atlanta, GA, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 2 safety in the nation and the No. 6 player in the state of Georgia.
Other programs are working hard to flip Gilbert from the Buckeyes, including Tennessee.
Gilbert is continuing to take visits despite his commitment to Ohio State. And he appears open to flipping his commitment if the situation is right.
Could Tennessee be the right situation?
It's far too early to know for sure — this recruitment is one that will likely have some twists and turns. But it appears the Vols at least have Gilbert's attention.
Gilbert was spotted at a camp this week showing off a pair of Tennessee gloves that he was wearing.
I'm sure Ohio State fans won't admit to being nervous over a pair of gloves — and maybe some aren't — but if that was a Tennessee commit wearing a pair of Ohio State gloves, there would certainly be some nervousness in Knoxville. So I can only assume the same is true in Columbus (even if they won't admit it).
Josh Heupel and his staff aren't taking the easy way out on the recruiting trail. They're working hard to flip players they want instead of opting against putting in the work (which could always prove to be futile) because a kid is committed to Ohio State or another "big name" program.
We'll see how this battle turns out, but it looks like Tennessee is definitely going to be a factor. And Ohio State fans can't be happy about that.
