It's NCAA transfer portal season and the Tennessee Vols had their first entry into the portal on Wednesday.
Junior wide receiver Jimmy Holiday announced via Instagram on Wednesday that he's entering the portal.
"I gave my all for Tennessee and never imagined a day where I would not be playing for the Power T in my collegiate career," wrote Holiday. "After much prayer and many talks with my family, I would like to announce that I will be entering my name into the transfer portal."
Holiday finished his Tennessee career with seven receptions for 111 yards and a touchdown.
The touchdown came in the 2022 season opener against Ball State. Holiday caught a 53-yard touchdown from Joe Milton, Tennessee's final points in a 59-10 win.
Holiday is a player that I thought could be a transfer portal candidate, but with Cedric Tillman heading to the NFL, and Jalin Hyatt likely following him, I thought there was a possibility that he'd stick around.
Instead, Holiday will begin his search for a new college football home.
