Tennessee Vols quarterback Hendon Hooker might be talked about differently ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft if not for the torn ACL he suffered last November.

Hooker was considered a Heisman Trophy frontrunner before he suffered a torn ACL in the Vols' loss to South Carolina.

The injury negatively impacted Hooker's draft stock.

On Wednesday, Hooker revealed that he's taken a massive step forward in his recovery.

Less than five months after tearing his ACL, Hooker is back on the field and working on his dropbacks, an important milestone in the Greensboro, NC native's recovery.

Hooker posted videos of the dropbacks to his Twitter account on Wednesday.

With the 2023 NFL Draft starting on Thursday night, the timing for this important step in Hooker's recovery couldn't be any better for the former Tennessee standout.

I don't know if these videos will move Hooker up any draft boards, but if there are teams strongly considering Hooker early in the draft, this should alleviate some of their concerns about his recovery. It certainly appears that Hooker will be good to go for the start of the 2023 season.
