The Tennessee Vols basketball program just continues to receive good news.

Five-star forward Julian Phillips committed to the Vols (and subsequently signed) just last week.

On Friday, Tennessee received a commitment from 2022 four-star forward DJ Jefferson.

Jefferson, 6-foot-5/190 lbs from Saint Paul, MN (he's organically from Texas), is ranked in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 2 player in the state of Minnesota and the No. 28 small forward in the nation.

The talented hooper committed to Tennessee over Wake Forest and Washington State.

Jefferson committed to the Vols because of the presence of UT head coach Rick Barnes.

“It’s really because of Coach Barnes, just his history,” said Jefferson to VolQuest after committing. “He’s got a lot of history under his belt and I feel like I want to come here and help him gain some more history and make some history for myself as well being a Volunteer."

Tennessee now has four players in its 2022 recruiting class. The Vols had a tough end to the 2021-22 season, but they've reloaded and they're ready to make another run in 2022-23.
