The Tennessee Vols received a commitment on Monday morning from 2025 five-star quarterback George MacIntyre.
And MacIntyre's commitment could lead to a commitment from a 2025 four-star wide receiver from California.
Nothing is imminent, but it's clear that four-star wide receiver Marcus Harris is a big fan of MacIntyre.
Harris, 5-foot-11/180 lbs from Santa Ana, CA, visited Tennessee this past weekend for the first time. That meant the talented recruit got to spend some time with MacIntyre, who was also in Knoxville this past weekend. Harris told On3 that he's been talking with MacIntyre about "teaming up" at the next level for a "while".
“George is my guy,” said Harris to On3. “We’ve been talking about teaming up for a while. Me and George could make things difficult for defenses in the SEC."
Harris, who attends the same high school (Mater Dei) that UT wide receiver Bru McCoy attended, also told On3 that the Tennessee coaching staff compared him to former Vols wide receiver Jalin Hyatt.
Miami, Oregon, Texas, Ole Miss, and Alabama are also in the mix for Harris, who is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 10 wide receiver in the 2025 recruiting class.
The Vols will have their work cut out for them if they're going to win the battle for Harris. But it's obvious that the addition of MacIntyre greatly helps Tennessee chances in this recruiting battle.
