The Tennessee Vols landed a commitment from a 2025 recruit from Georgia on Wednesday via one of the cooler announcements you'll ever see.
2025 three-star running back Justin Baker committed to Tennessee on Wednesday while FaceTiming Vols head coach Josh Heupel.
Baker called Heuepl while sitting in front a crowd of folks anxious to hear his decision.
"Listen man, we are fired up," said Heupel during the FaceTime call. "We're excited about the player, but even more excited about the person. And you know who we got in the building, that's the most important thing to us. But so happy we get a chance to be a part of your future. And help you go chase all your goals and dreams and everything that you're doing. This is big time for Tennessee football."
The crowd erupted as soon as Heupel mentioned Tennessee, at which point Baker unzipped his jacket to reveal a shirt with a Power T.
Baker, 5-foot-9/205 lbs from Buford, GA, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 35 running back in the nation and the No. 42 player in the state of Georgia.
The talented running back committed to the Vols over Michigan and South Carolina.
Tennessee now has three players committed to its 2025 recruiting class.
Latest report lends some credence to the theory that Tennessee was cheated out of a College Football Playoff spot in 2022
We are about to be really mad if it’s true. Really mad.
