According to a few of the biggest sportsbooks, the Titans have overtaken or joined the Indianapolis Colts as the favorite to win the AFC South in 2021. Some may call that the "Julio Jones effect".

Now, the odds are still very tight between the two teams. FanDuel and Bovada actually have the teams as co-favorites to take the division crown. FanDuel's odds are at +110. Bovada has the Titans and Colts both at +115 to win the AFC South. Meanwhile, the Titans are narrowly the sole favorites on DraftKings. Tennessee's odds are at +110, and Indy's are at +115.

The Jaguars and Texans aren't sniffing the aforementioned squads at +700 and +2800 respectively on DraftKings. On FanDuel, Jacksonville is at +700 as well, while Houston is at +2700. Bovada has a little bit more faith in the Texans but not too much. They've got Houston at +2200 and Jacksonville also at +700. Both are certainly long shots compared to the two with the best odds.

It's no secret that parts of the Titans' defense are still questionable, but it has also improved this off-season alongside the offense. Bud Dupree and Denico Autry are important additions on the D-Line, while Cornerbacks Caleb Farley and Janoris Jenkins provide a change in the secondary. We all know that was probably needed. Tennessee also retained Linebacker Jayon Brown to provide some consistency in the front seven.

Regardless, this bump for their odds in the division that has come in the last week is no coincidence. Julio Jones adds another level to their offense. The Titans have arguably the best WR duo in the league as well as the league's leading rusher. That's almost unstoppable – on paper at least.

Not to mention, Ryan Tannehill has been one of the most efficient Quarterbacks in the NFL over the past couple of seasons. Only time will tell if the offense will live up to its potential, but Offensive Coordinator Todd Downing has all of the pieces to make sure that it does.

Vegas likes Tennessee's odds to win the division and secure a playoff spot a bit more now.
