The Tennessee Titans are molding a new way of running their ship going forward.

That started with the hire of new general manager Ran Carthon. Carthon's analytical prowess and scouting experience will be the backbone for how the Titans construct their roster and staff for years to come.

Carthon and the Titans just shook up the offensive coaching staff a bit by promoting Tim Kelly to offensive coordinator and bringing in some new assistants for unique roles, too.

Tennessee is going to have a new way of doing things, and that starts at the top.

The Titans are now hiring Packers personnel/football admin. executive Chad Brinker as their new assistant GM.

This hire is intriguing for Tennessee for multiple reasons.

At the helm, it proves that the Titans are committed to a new style of leadership in the front office.

Having an assistant GM was not something that was part of the organization when Jon Robinson was their general manager. The most similar role was Ryan Cowden's as VP of player personnel.

Furthermore, the hiring of Brinker doubles down on the analytical/scouting focus that the Titans seem to be shading towards under Carthon.

Not to mention, Brinker is a former NFL running back as well. The Titans are clearly valuing experience in the league, both on and off the field, with their new hires.

Brinker began his NFL career as a scouting assistant. Then, he was a pro scout from 2012-2017. Over the past four seasons since, he has worked in multiple roles focusing in scouting, salary cap management, and personnel.

The Titans are showing commitment to this change of pace in their coaching staff as well.

They've added more analyst roles to the staff as they've created new jobs for experienced football minds in the NFL.

Overall, the Titans aren't standing pat after their frustrating end to this past season. The coaching staff changes may not have shaken the NFL world, but the everyday in Tennessee is absolutely going to change.
