The Tennessee Titans drafted receiver Jha'Quan Jackson with the 182nd pick of the 2024 NFL Draft on Saturday. The Tulane product joins tackle JC Latham, nose guard T'Vondre Sweat, linebacker Cedric gray and corner Jarvis Brownlee Jr as the newest members of Tennessee's rookie class.

In a loaded wide out class, general manager Ran Carthon was content to wait until Day 3 to add a weapon.

Jackson is undersized at 5-9 and 188 lbs, but was a serious threat after the catch averaging 9.7 yards per carry. The real value added with Jackson is his dangerous ability as a punt returner. Tennessee had largely given up on 2022 fifth-round choice Kyle Philips in that department.

Jackson adds competition.

"We're at a point where we went out and signed a receiver that I think is going to really complement our group well," coach Brian Callahan said on addressing protection before receiver. "And you got Hop (DeAndre Hopkins), who's been a productive player for a long time. So, I felt like if we can keep our quarterback on his feet, we're going to have a better chance to get those guys the ball."

Tennessee drafted offensive tackle JC Latham No. 7 overall in the first round to solidify the left side of a line that was in desperate need of a talent influx. In free agency, the team signed veteran pass-catcher Calvin Ridley to a four-year $92 million deal.

The addition of Ridley lessened the urgency for the Titans to take a receiver higher in the draft.
