Philadelphia Eagles WR A.J. Brown got the last laugh on his former team on Sunday when he torched the Tennessee Titans for eight catches, 118 yards, and two touchdowns.

After months of tension built up between the organization, Brown, and the Titans fanbase debating the trade, the former Pro-Bowler got to publicly embarrass the franchise when he danced in the end zone, spanking and hugging the goalpost following an impressive 40-yard touchdown catch in the game on Sunday. The catch was reversed after replay review, but Brown scored again on the very next play and continued rubbing salt in the wound. It would not come without a cost, though.

Brown’s elaborate celebration landed him a $13,261 unsportsmanlike conduct fine from the league on Saturday.

When asked in a postgame press conference, Brown said the celebration was his way of saying “I’m gonna have to give you this whooping. I still love you though.”

At least one of those things proved to be trust last Sunday.

While the celebration was expensive, I’m sure it was worth every penny for Brown. It’s no secret that the former Titans wide out took exception to his contract extension negotiations and the trade that would follow.

He may still love his old teammates and coach. Maybe even some of the fans. But it must have felt nice to show up the front office and team that traded you.

He will take the $13,261 out of his $100 Million contract and sleep just fine at night.
