Tennessee Titans cornerback Kristian Fulton was back on the practice field for the Titans' final day of OTAs on Wednesday after missing the previous offseason practices.

Fulton, who was called out by Mike Vrabel after the 2022 season for his recurring soft tissue injuries, missed voluntary OTAs while developing a new offseason training regiment on his own. While Fulton was in the building and with the team for mandatory minicamp, he was not seen at practice.

Vrabel refused to comment on Fulton's injury status last week, but after returning to practice Wednesday, Fulton answered a number of questions himself. Fulton spoke to Titans media for the first time since last season and made an incredibly bold prediction about his health for 2023.

"I wanted to do what I had to do to make sure I'm there for my team," said Fulton of his offseason training. "This upcoming year, I want to be out there. I will be out there 17 games, so that's the approach that I'll take."

There you have it, folks. Kristian Fulton will be out there for 17 games in 2023 after making a change to his training habits this offseason. Never mind the fact that he has already missed 20 games over three career seasons. That feels like an awfully bold prediction if you ask me.

I must give Fulton credit, though. He took any criticisms about his injury history on the chin. He clearly understands the importance of availability and it's not like Fulton is unaware of the fact that he has missed numerous games.

Unlike David Long Jr., who heard Vrabel's comments about his health and claimed the Titans head coach "created a narrative about his game," Fulton said he was "cool" with what Vrabel said about him. The 2020 second round pick told Titans media that he was on the same page as his head coach and looking forward to doing his part. That's a nice change of pace from Long's victim mentality.

Will Fulton actually play a full 17 games this season? Who knows. I wouldn't bet on it, but that's just me. The good news is that Fulton clearly has a lot of confidence in the changes he has made to how he trains. Heading into a contract year, the 24-year-old corner knows how much he stands to gain if he can have a good season.

At this point, all Titans fans should be in wait-and-see mode and allow Fulton to prove it on the field. Until then, it's time to cross some fingers and hope Fulton's bold prediction manifests into reality.
