Over the bye week, the Tennessee Titans will be evaluating solutions to address a few of their major problems.

Their second half scoring droughts, inconsistent play from the corner position, and bad offensive line play are just a few problems the Titans are facing right now.

But another one of those hasn't been put in the spotlight too often recently, and for good reason as well, since the other aforementioned problems hold a little more significance.

The Titans haven't been able to get a lot of consistent production from their receivers through four weeks. Their leading receiver is Robert Woods with 204 yards on 17 catches, both figures lead the team so far.

To put that in perspective, Woods' 204 yards are the 65th highest total among receiving leaders league wide, his 17 catches are tied for the 62nd most. Woods isn't the only Titans receiver that has fell victim to a lack of production either.

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine only has 138 yards — a total boosted by a 61 yard catch against the Washington Commanders — on seven catches, Treylon Burks has 129 yards and only 10 catches, the list goes on and on.

Dontrell Hilliard is actually third on the team in terms of receiving yardage with 132 yards.

You get the point.

These totals can be lost in the sea of context though, since the Titans want and love to run the football. But even still, these numbers are way too low. Way too low to keep this offense as a threat and way too low to keep it as unpredictable as possible.

Which is why ESPN's own Jeremy Fowler listed the Titans as one of the teams that could be a fit for free agent receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

They could use a vertical threat on the outside after trading away A.J. Brown in the offseason. This is a team that can grind out wins without a flashy passing game, however.

Tennessee has traded for wide receivers the past two offseasons, and both wideouts have had injury issues. Julio Jones came over in 2021, then missed seven games and produced 434 yards and one touchdown. He was released after the season. In March 2022, the Titans dealt for Robert Woods, who has 17 catches in five games this season. The team has a modest $3.7 million in cap space. — Fowler

ESPN's Matt Bowen added a bit of a schematic point of view in terms of Beckham fitting in with the Titans.

This might be a stretch to pair Beckham with the Titans given their run-heavy approach with tailback Derrick Henry. But he'd help this offense, running underneath slants, dig routes off play-action and verticals out of the slot. Rookie first-round pick Treylon Burks is on injured reserve (foot) and should be back in a few weeks, but Beckham could help in the stretch run. — Bowen

This move is unlikely to go down, since the Titans aren't exactly blessed with cap space, and the fact that Beckham would likely prefer to join an actual contender.

But it's interesting he was still mentioned nonetheless.
