NASHVILLE — Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel killed the rumors of his future with the team once and for all on Wednesday.

In Vrabel's press conference with Titans media, the 48-year-old head coach was asked about the rumors spreading on social media about his relationship with Ran Carthon, his future in Tennessee, and how happy he is with the Titans.

Vrabel let it be known loud and clear. He's committed to fixing things in Music City and he's with the Titans to stay.

Untrue Rumors

Rumors about Mike Vrabel and his happiness with the Titans have been swirling for a vast majority of the 2023 NFL season. But the speculation has reached a new level over the last few days.

Jason La Canfora, a media member who has a reputation for spreading misinformation about the Titans, was among those writing that Vrabel and Carthon are "not a match" and that a trade could be in the works this offseason. That piece started gaining a lot of traction on social media.

But Vrabel quickly put an end to the idea that he wanted out or was looking to be traded. "Of course I want to be here," Vrabel said. "If we believed everything that was on social media, there'd be Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny, and there's no Tooth Fairy and all of that. I really have never responded to any of those and we're not going to start now. I know where we're at as an organization."

Vrabel expressed that he is committed to fixing the problems with the Titans' current roster and winning championships alongside Ran Carthon and this front office.

"I'm excited to build this thing and to fix this thing and get it to where we want it to be. To win championships with Ran (Carthon), Chad (Brinker), and (Anthony Robinson), and the coaching staff, and everybody. That's what our goal is. The social media…I can't focus on that," Vrabel continued.

To this point, any rumors about Vrabel and Carthon not getting along or Vrabel wanting to coach elsewhere have been unsubstantiated. As we know well, Mike Vrabel wants to win. He's passionate about coaching, competing, and seeing things come together with his team. He's telling the NFL world himself that he wants to do that with the Titans.

Vrabel still has multiple seasons remaining on his contract with the Titans. He's in Tennessee to stay.
