More so than any other division in the NFL, the AFC South was shaken up during the 2023 NFL Draft. The current and future outlook of the division might be dictated by last weekend's events.

Three teams drafted what they hope to be their future franchise quarterback. C.J. Stroud went to the Houston Texans at second overall, Anthony Richardson went to the Indianapolis Colts at fourth overall, and the Tennessee Titans landed Will Levis in the second round at 33rd overall. Houston also added the best defensive player in the draft class, drafting Will Anderson Jr. with the third overall pick.

With all of that talent coming into the division, let's take a look at the early odds for the AFC South race in 2023.

According to BetMGM.com, the Titans still have the second best odds to win the AFC South in 2023, with the defending champion Jacksonville Jaguars a runaway favorite at -160.

The only team in the NFL that is a stronger favorite to win their division is the San Francisco 49ers, who currently sit at -175 to be NFC West champions. The defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs are tied with Jacksonville, currently listed at -160 in the AFC West.

Jacksonville Jaguars (-160)

Tennessee Titans (+350)

Indianapolis Colts (+550)

Houston Texans (+800)

Tennessee at +350 is shockingly good value to me, as is Houston at +800. Let us not forget that the Titans were one healthy Ryan Tannehill away from winning the division last year despite all of their injuries.

Had Josh Dobbs not been strip sacked in the final minutes of that Week 18 game in Jacksonville, Tennessee would likely have still won the division without their starting quarterback.

The Titans' roster is not without flaws. As it currently stands, the team has failed to address the need at wide receiver and the offensive line depth is questionable. But Tennessee has really fortified their defense and starting offensive line group.

If Ryan Tannehill is healthy, there's no reason the Titans can't at least be in the mix in 2023. I think their passing offense could struggle with the lack of weapons, and that may be what costs them in the end, but at +350 I'd say the sportsbooks are sleeping on Tennessee and Mike Vrabel.
