The Titans are clearly in the market for a left tackle. After watching Dennis Daley's disastrous 2022 season and the recent departure of Taylor Lewan, Titans fans understand just how important the position is.

In fact, many expect the Titans to draft a left tackle early in the 2023 draft.

However, a new option has emerged that may finally solve the Titan's left tackle issue.

Earlier today, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that the Chiefs do not plan on franchise-tagging offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr.

Kansas City has until next week to agree on a potential long-term deal, or Brown will be free to sign with any team when free agency begins on March 15th.

The Chiefs used the franchise tag on Brown last offseason after the two parties could not agree to a deal. That tag paid Brown $16.6 million for the 2022 season. If they were to of tagged him again this year, Brown would have been paid $19.92 million in 2023.

The Chiefs traded for Brown two years ago in a package that included a first-round pick. If he hits the market, he will immediately become the best tackle available and have plenty of suitors.

Brown has shown he can play at both tackle spots, as he played more on the right side while in Baltimore, then switched over to left tackle once in Kansas City.

Brown is a four-time Pro Bowler and is still only 26-years-old. Players of that caliber don't hit free agency very often.

Signing Brown would give the Titans a long-term answer at left tackle and allow them to be more flexible in who they draft with the 11th pick.

If Ran Carthon is serious about re-building this offensive line, he will take a long and hard look at singing Brown.
