The Tennessee Titans have signed tight end Alize Mack to a contract for the 2023 season after Mack's standout showing for the San Antonio Brahmas in the XFL.
Mack was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame and has bounced around multiple practice squads over his pro career. Mack has spent time in Pittsburgh (2019), Kansas City (2019-20), Detroit (2021) and Green Bay (2022).
This spring, Mack was third among XFL tight ends in receptions, finishing the season with 28 catches and 230 yards.
During his time at Notre Dame, Mack did an excellent job at using his 6-foot-5, 247 pound frame to play above the rim and make contested catches. That ability was prominent in Mack's XFL success with fellow Notre Dame alum Jack Coan throwing him the football in the red zone.
Cracking the Titans 53-man roster is going to be an uphill battle for Mack. Tennessee is loaded at the tight end position, with Mack marking eight tight ends that will be at Titans OTA's this week.
Chig Okonkwo, Trevon Wesco, Josh Whyle, Kevin Rader, Justin Rigg and Thomas Odukoya make up the rest of the group.
