The Tennessee Titans' offense hasn't been good at all this year, especially when you compare it to some of the more explosive offenses the league has to offer.
A good portion of these offensive struggles have come as a result of an unimpressive receiving corps, specifically at receiver.
Robert Woods is still a very reliable option, but he doesn't get the necessary amount of targets to consistently thrive in this offense. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine is a fine depth option, but he's been thrusted into a WR2 role that, quite frankly, is too large for his personal skill set to fill.
Other Titans wideouts like Kyle Phillips, Cody Hollister, and the recently-cut Josh Gordon either haven't shown or didn't show enough to warrant concrete conclusions regarding their performance so far.
But despite this Titans receiver group representing a blind darkness for the Titans, there's one rookie receiver that has stood out among the rest, and has begun to quietly acclimate himself to the pro level.
The name is Treylon Burks.
Looking at the list, it's rather impressive that Burks is beating out two All-Pros in Tyreek Hill and Deebo Samuel, which adds to the disappointment centering around the fact he'll have to miss some more time due to a toe injury.
But when he comes back, it's clear the Titans can rely on him a little more moving forward.
Not only due to his obvious improvement on the field, but also simply due to the fact that he stands as the Titans' only threatening receiving weapon aside from Woods.
