In last night’s 132-120 win over the Brooklyn Nets, the Grizzlies secured its fifth 50-win season in franchise history. What makes last night’s victory even more impressive is that Memphis was able to defeat the Nets, led by superstars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, without Ja Morant.

A 50-win season is nothing to snark at, but the most eye catching statistic involving this Grizzlies team is its 15-2 record without Morant in the lineup on the year. Memphis’ supporting cast has proven that they are capable of carrying the load without Morant on the court, which is the exact situation the team finds itself in tonight with both teams on back-to-backs.

One of those games came against the Pacers on March 15th when Bane drilled four threes en route to a 21-point performance. Indiana has struggled to defend the perimeter throughout the season as opponents are shooting 36.1% from beyond the arc, which ranks 24th in the NBA.
Steven Adams has been the perfect post presence for Memphis this season. He plays a physical brand of basketball which shows up on ball screens and in the stat sheet, averaging 9.9 rebounds per game.
Adams has reeled in at least nine boards in each of his last six games. In his most recent meeting with the Pacers, Adams recorded a double-double scoring 13 points and bringing down 13 rebounds.
Look for Adams to clean the glass and do the dirty work down low with Pacers center, Goga Bitadze, questionable with a foot injury. It is also worth mentioning that the Pacers will be without head coach Rick Carlisle tonight due to personal reasons.
