Shocking, right?

Latest bowl game projection for Tennessee Vols
College football insider Brett McMurphy updated his bowl game projections after week one and the Vols' win over Ball State didn't do much to convince him that Tennessee will go to a premier bowl game.
McMurphy has the Vols playing the Oregon Ducks in the Las Vegas Bowl on December 17 at Allegiant Stadium.
2022 will be the first year that the SEC has a conference tie-in with the Las Vegas Bowl.
So it's a guarantee that an SEC team will be heading to Las Vegas before Christmas.
Now whether or not that will be the Vols certainly remains to be seen. It's way too early to really have a good idea of which bowl game Tennessee will reach.
I have a feeling, though, that UT will fight to play in a bowl game on the East Coast. Specifically, I think the Vols will want to play in a bowl game close to fertile recruiting grounds (somewhere in Florida would be my guess).
There's still a lot of season left, but if you're a Vols fan who wants to travel to the bowl game, it sounds like McMurphy thinks you should be keeping an eye on the hotel situation in Las Vegas.
