Tennessee Vols quarterback Hendon Hooker is a polarizing draft prospect.

There are some analysts who view Hooker as firmly in the third tier of quarterbacks in the draft, below the second tier of Kentucky's Will Levis and Florida's Anthony Richardson.

Other analysts, however, view Hooker as the third-best quarterback in the draft, behind Alabama's Bryce Young and Ohio State's CJ Stroud.

Hooker, meanwhile, has maintained that he's the best player in the draft.

While we won't know for a couple of years whether or not Hooker is correct, we do at least know that the former Tennessee standout is being massively underrated ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft.

And a stat from NFL Network proves it.

NFL Network put out a graphic this week that shows the top-six best touchdown to interception ratios since 2018 from players in a Power 5 conference.

Hooker made the list twice.

The Greensboro, NC native has the second-best and the fourth-best touchdown to interception ratios since 2018.

Both of Hooker's seasons at Tennessee featured better touchdown to interception ratios than Joe Burrow's historic 2019 season at LSU.

If a quarterback turns the ball over a lot in college, they're probably going to turn the ball over a lot in the NFL, too. After all, it doesn't get any easier once quarterbacks get to the pros.

No one took care of the ball better last season than Hooker. That's something that quarterback-needy NFL teams should strongly take into consideration when making their draft decisions later this month.
