The week of Josh Dobbs continued on Wednesday.
After leading the Minnesota Vikings to an improbable road win against the Atlanta Falcons this past weekend, Dobbs was named the NFC offensive player of the week.
Dobbs completed 20-of-30 passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns and totaled 66 rushing yards, while adding a rushing touchdown, in the Vikings' 31-28 win.
Dobbs was traded to the Vikings from the Arizona Cardinals just days before Minnesota's game against Atlanta.
The former Tennessee Vols quarterback didn't practice with the Vikings before the game against the Falcons. But he was forced into action early in the game after rookie quarterback Jaren Hall was ruled out with a concussion.
Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said this week that Minnesota is planning to start Dobbs this weekend against the New Orleans Saints.
