A 2026 four-star recruit who has been committed to the Tennessee Vols since last October was described this week as a "picture perfect fit" for UT football.

247Sports' Cooper Petagna thinks 2026 four-star wide receiver Tyreek King will be a perfect fit in Tennessee's offense.

King, 5-foot-10/170 lbs from Knoxville, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 15 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 3 player in the state of Tennessee.

From 247Sports: Tennessee has a picture perfect fit in Tyreek King. A three-star pass catcher from Knoxville, Josh Heupel didn't have to go far to find one of the southeast's most dynamic playmakers. King appears fully bred for the Vols high flying passing attack. Estimated at a shade over 5-foot-10, the Knoxville Catholic standout plays with excellent body control and route tempo, showing the ability to create consistent separation both off the line of scrimmage and at the top of the route with relative ease.

King has an official visit scheduled to Tennessee on June 20. According to 247Sports' Tom Loy, it's possible that King could also take official visits to Missouri and Georgia.

It sounds like the Vols are in a good spot to hold on to King's commitment. But with programs like Georgia lurking, Tennessee will need to make sure they continue to recruit King as if he's an uncommitted prospect. The last thing the Vols want is for another program to swoop in late and swipe King.
