The Tennessee Vols had a great weekend on the field, but there's some reason for concern when it comes to UT's 2025 recruiting class.

Tennessee beat UTEP 56-0 on Saturday. That big win combined with losses by Indiana, Ole Miss, Alabama, and Texas A&M has the Vols right back in the thick of the College Football Playoff race.

Unfortunately for the Vols, the positive on-field results were overshadowed a bit by some unwelcome recruiting news.

2025 five-star offensive lineman David Sanders Jr, a Tennessee commit since August, took a visit to Ohio State this weekend. According to reports, the Buckeyes are a legitimate threat to swipe Sanders from the Volunteers.

Sanders isn't the only commit the Vols are in danger of losing.

2025 four-star cornerback Onis Konanbanny, who has also been committed to Tennessee since August, took a visit to Florida this weekend.

Konanbanny, the No. 31 cornerback in the nation, told On3 that Florida is a "dangerous contender" in his recruitment.

“Florida is a dangerous contender for me,” said Konabanny to On3. “The program is on the rise. It’s like, why not be part of bringing back DBU?”

“They’re a real contender. That is for sure," added Konabanny.

Fans shouldn't have to wait too long to see how these recruiting battles play out. The early signing period is just around the corner in early December, so we should know fairly quickly whether or not the Vols will able to hang onto these two key 2025 recruits.
