The Tennessee Vols dropped the rubber match of a three-game series with the Arkansas Razorbacks on Sunday afternoon in Knoxville.

The loss, however, wasn't the big story of the day.

Immediately after the game, cameras caught Vols head coach Tony Vitello and Arkansas head coach Dave Van Horn in a heated exchange.

Vitello was an assistant under Van Horn at Arkansas from 2014-2017.

After the game, Vitello told reporters that he had some "off-the-field" things to discuss with Van Horn. He then said he picked a "dumb" time to bring those things up.

Van Horn also spoke to reporters after the game, and his story was similar, though he acknowledged that Vitello is a "really good guy" and a "really good coach".

Prior to the series, Vitello had positive things to say about Van Horn.

"I could not have asked for a better environment to work in as an employee," said Vitello of working under Van Horn (via Arkansas Online). "We've all been in bad ones, we've all been in good ones. … That was a really good one for obvious reasons. I mean, the fans there are tremendous. The kids I got to be around were great. But I really felt like I had a lot of breathing room. There was no uncomfortable moments at work every day."

I'm not sure what the off-field issue was with Van Horn on Sunday, but there's clearly some tension now between the two coaches.
