Arkansas Razorbacks head coach Sam Pittman is a big fan of Tennessee Vols junior running back Dylan Sampson.

Pittman, who was the offensive line coach under Derek Dooley at Tennessee in 2012, was asked specifically about Sampson on Monday while speaking to reporters ahead of the Vols' matchup against Arkansas that's set for this weekend in Fayetteville.

"I really like Dylan Sampson, their running back," said Pittman on Monday. "They play more than one — they've got (DeSean) Bishop in there, too. But I really like [Sampson], he breaks a lot of tackles."

"He's bad, he's bad to the bone," added Pittman. "He's a good player. I mean, he's really good. Can make you miss, can run over you. He's a good player. Can catch. I like him a lot. He's a really good player. They use the other one, Bishop, too. But he's (Sampson) really good. A really good player."

Sampson is off to a great start this season (which is his first as the Vols' top running back option). Through four games, Sampson has totaled 449 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns. He also has seven receptions for 70 yards.

That touchdown number is insane for four games. And the yardage would be even higher, but Sampson didn't play much in the second half of the Vols' first three games of the season (due to the games being blowouts).

Sampson is one of the big keys for Tennessee's offense. When the running game is effective, the Vols' offense is tough to stop. And that starts with Sampson.
