ESPN College Football writers put together a list of the Top 50 players in the county. This isn't an NFL draft projections, so every player is eligible.

Louisville QB Lamar Jackson is ranked as the No. 1 player in the land, but not far behind is Tennessee's Derek Barnett.

Barnett is racking up National recognition. Pro Football Focus has him listed as a top 10 draft pick for this upcoming draft. At one point, Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports had Barnett in his top 5 Heisman contenders.

After Jackson at number one, is Michigan do-it-all linebacker Jabril Peppers at No. 2. Players ranked three through five are Alabama's Jonathan Allen, Washington QB Jake Browning and San Diego State RB Donnel Pumphrey.
