Tennessee Vols wide receiver Chris Brazzell significantly improved his draft stock at the NFL scouting combine.

Brazzell measured 6-foot-4 and weighed in at 198 pounds at the combine before running a 4.37 in the 40-yard dash.

The Texas native has elite size and speed to go along with elite body control and solid route running abilities.

Brazzell entered the offseason as a likely day two pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, but he very much put himself in the first round conversation with his performance in Indianapolis.

Former Tennessee Vols standout Charles Davis shares insight on Chris Brazzell’s draft stock

CBS Sports analyst Charles Davis, a former Vols defensive back, joined The Mike Keith Show this week and shared some insight on Brazzell’s current draft stock.

Davis noted that Brazzell isn’t necessarily “expected” to be a first round pick, but it’s not out of the question, either.

“Chris Brazzell, I think everyone expected him to be fast,” said Davis. “I got a couple of texts that all of them essentially said, ‘Didn’t know he was that fast.’ I think it was 4.37 at his height. So a lot of guys with his height, we’re used to what we call build up speed. They get faster as you go along. And when you’re running the 40, that means you’re probably a 4.5 guy — because you don’t get the quickness out of the gate. But not this young man (Brazzell).

“Those long legs were picking them up and putting them down. But they were doing it so smoothly that you went, ‘Whoa.’ And so guess what? There’s discussion, if we have a run on receivers, that he could be in that mix. The first round is not out of line for him. It’s not expected, but it’s not out of line.”

Pre-draft visits and interviews will be important for Brazzell. If he nails those, he could very easily end up sneaking into the first round.
