Tennessee Vols wide receiver Cedric Tillman was selected one pick after his former UT teammate Jalin Hyatt on Friday night.
Tillman was drafted with the No. 74 overall pick (round three) in the 2023 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns.
Hyatt went to the New York Giants with the No. 73 overall pick.
Tillman was the SEC's leading returning wide receiver entering the 2022 season, but an ankle injury against Akron hampered Tillman for most of the season, severely limiting his production.
The former Vol wide receiver will give the Browns a big red zone target that has elite body control. He can also stretch the field vertically as he often displayed at Tennessee — especially during the 2023 season.
Tillman was probably one of the most underrated players in this year's draft. The ankle injury combined with the offense he played in at Tennessee resulted in his draft stock dropping significantly. But he'll get his chance to show the rest of the NFL that they made a mistake by passing on him earlier in the draft.
