Tennessee Vols athletic director Danny White is a man of the people.

White listens to the fans and, if he can, gives the fans what they want.

The latest example is the iconic V-O-L-S letters that are set to return to the top of Neyland Stadium.

Neyland had the letters at the top of the stadium until 1999, but it looks like they'll be back in their proper place in 2022 (maybe the return of the letters will mean the Vols will return to being a national championship contender).

On Thursday, White took to Twitter to tease the return of the letters.

Here's a rendering of what Neyland will look like with the return of the letters (via Danny White's Twitter account).

It's amazing what can happen with the proper leadership in place. White doesn't try to make things difficult and he doesn't act like he knows more than the fans.

The former UCF athletic director is adept at taking the pulse of the fan base and then making a proper decision. The return of the V-O-L-S letters is a perfect example of that.
