A 2026 five-star recruit is hoping to "lock in" a visit with the Tennessee Vols for a game this fall.

2026 five-star running back Savion Hiter has the Vols among his top top five schools. And he told On3 that he plans to visit Rocky Top at some point this season.

Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State are the other programs in Hiter's top five schools.

“Penn State and Tennessee I feel like these are schools I could possibly come in and make an immediate impact with the offense," said Hiter to On3 this week while discussing his recruitment. "I really liked the campus culture too."

Hiter, 6-foot/200 lbs from Woodberry Forest, VA, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 1 running back in the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of Virginia. He's also rated as the No. 29 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.

It's still a bit early in Hiter's recruitment. We should have a much better idea of where the Vols stand in this recruiting battle after the 2024 season.
