Zackery, 5-foot-11/165 lbs from Indianapolis, IN, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 7 cornerback in the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of Indiana. He's also rated as the No. 61 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class.
The Vols offered Zackery last May, but he's still working on building a deeper relationship with Tennessee's coaching staff. Zackery told 247Sports that he's hoping to visit Tennessee soon.
It can be tough to pull a kid out of the midwest while beating out programs like Michigan and Ohio State, but it sounds like the Vols at least have Zackery's attention, which gives Tennessee a chance in this recruiting battle.
The Vols currently have five players committed to their 2025 recruiting class, including three three-star cornerbacks.
