Tennessee Vols fans have been scooping up tickets over the last week in an attempt to turn the Horseshoe orange on Saturday night in Columbus.

The Vols will travel to Ohio State for a first round College Football Playoff showdown with the Buckeyes and there should be quite a few Tennessee fans in attendance.

Exactly how many Vols fans will be in attendance remains to be seen. Some folks have suggested that we could see upwards of 30,000 to 35,000 Tennessee fans in Ohio Stadium on Saturday night.

ESPN's Rece Davis, however, doesn't think that will be the case.

"I don't know that I'm buying this idea that there's going to be, you know, 30 to 35 percent orange in that stadium," said Davis. "That would stun me. I don't think that'll be true."

There's no doubt that a significant number of Vols fans are planning to make the trip to Columbus this weekend. It'll certainly be interesting to see how much orange we see in the stadium on Saturday night — though it could be tough to tell how many Tennessee fans are in attendance because of the cold temps that are expected (I don't know how many orange coats there are among the Vol faithful).

Tennessee and Ohio State will kick off at 8:00 PM ET on Saturday night. The game will air on ESPN.
