Former Tennessee Vols defensive lineman Omarr Norman-Lott is already impressing one of the best defensive players in the NFL.

Norman-Lott, a second round selection by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2025 NFL Draft, is receiving some first team reps early in training camp.

Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones, a six-time Pro Bowler who is entering his 10th season in the NFL, told reporters that Norman-Lott has a lot of "raw talent".

"These guys in college are built different. A guy like Omarr is 315 (pounds), who's been running 4.7 and 4.8, is where the game is at right now," said Jones

"He's young, but he has a lot of raw talent. He's going to be a great asset for the defense," continued Jones. "He can rush the passer quickly out of the stance, and he's gotta work on his techniques and fundamentals, but I think he's going to be a great asset for us this upcoming season."

Norman-Lott spent two seasons at Tennessee after transferring from Arizona State.

The California native totaled 44 tackles and 9.5 sacks during his two seasons on Rocky Top, despite playing limited snaps due to Tennessee's philosophy of heavily rotating defensive linemen.
