The Tennessee Vols quietly added a 2026 commit on an otherwise boring National Signing Day
The Tennessee Vols made a quiet addition to their 2026 recruiting class on Wednesday.
Less than a decade ago, the first Wednesday in February was basically a national holiday for college football fans.
The early signing period, however, has completely destroyed the traditional National Signing Day.
Most programs, including the Tennessee Vols, made all of their big recruiting additions in December during the early signing period (just a handful of top recruits remained unsigned going into Wednesday).
Unfortunately for college football purists, the first Wednesday in February is now just another day.
Tennessee quietly adds a 2026 commit
Tennessee’s recruiting efforts were essentially wrapped up in December, but the Vols still made an addition on Wednesday, landing 2026 three-star running back Will Rajecki.
Rajecki, 5-11, 199 pounds from Canton, GA, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 73 running back in the nation and the No. 129 overall player in the state of Georgia.
The newest Tennessee commit was previously committed to Memphis, and he received interest from Arkansas, Oregon State, and Georgia late in the recruiting process.
“An unranked running back from Georgia, don’t be fooled by Will Rajecki’s lack of stars,” read a scouting report from last year on the three-star running back. “A player who appears to run angry at the ground, Rajecki shows good elusiveness but even better burst with the ball in his hands. With a style similar to Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco.”
Rajecki’s recruiting ranking is similar to Vols’ running back DeSean Bishop’s recruiting ranking in 2023.
