2025 five-star offensive lineman David Sanders Jr, a Tennessee Vols commit, made a comment on Saturday before UT's game against Kent State that will get fans in Knoxville fired up.
Sanders spoke to WBIR's Emilie Rae Cochrane before Tennessee's game against Kent State on Saturday night and he had plenty of praise for the fan base, before making a bold statement about what he's expecting once he's suiting up for the Vols.
"Obviously just this fan base each and every week, no matter what our record is, no matter what time of year it is, it'll be packed out every game," said Sanders. "That was something I was really excited to see. I can only imagine if this team was the No. 1 team in the country, which is gonna happen while I'm here. So I'm just excited to see it rocking."
The way the Vols are playing so far this season, they might reach No. 1 before Sanders joins the program.
There's certainly plenty of elite talent on the way to Tennessee in the 2025 and 2026 recruiting class. It feels like the Vols are just starting to hit their stride under Josh Heupel.
