Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jalin Hyatt, who is entering his rookie season with the New York Giants, sent a cryptic tweet on Wednesday morning that had plenty of fans perplexed.

Hyatt tweeted out two sets of eyeball emojis without offering any added context.

It didn't take long for the reason behind the tweet to be revealed.

Later on Wednesday, the official Giants Twitter account posted a photo of Hyatt wearing a new number. After initially sporting No. 84 with the Giants, Hyatt decided to make the switch to No. 13.

The No. 13 was made famous with the Giants, at least most recently, by former New York wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr, who sent Hyatt a message on Wednesday night.

"Rock out one three," wrote OBJ in a tweet directed at Hyatt.

Hyatt told reporters on Wednesday that he made the switch to 13 because he wants to create his own legacy with the number (No. 11, which was donned by Phil Simms, is retired by the Giants).

"There's no story behind it," said Hyatt when asked about switching to No. 13. "I just want to start my own legacy with it and do my best for the Giants in the No. 13."

Hyatt also noted that he nothing against the No. 84, he just prefers a lower number.
