Can the Tennessee Vols finally end their eight game losing streak to the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday?

Tennessee hasn’t defeated Georgia since 2016 when quarterback Josh Dobbs connected with wide receiver Jauan Jennings for a memorable game-winning Hail Mary in Athens. That’s Georgia head coach Kirby Smart’s only loss to the Volunteers (as a head coach…Smart lost to Tennessee as a player when he was at Georgia).

Tennessee and Georgia will meet on Saturday afternoon in Knoxville for the latest installment of the rivalry.

Former Georgia defensive lineman David Pollack doesn’t think the Vols will beat the Bulldogs

Former Georgia defensive lineman David Pollack made his pick for the showdown between the Vols and the Bulldogs.

Unsurprisingly, Pollack has the Bulldogs winning.

Pollack noted that he thinks Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton’s legs will play a key role in the game.

“I got 24-17 Georgia,” said Pollack. “And I think Gunner’s legs will play a big part in the [game]. But I think you’ll see some good Georgia offense. I think you’ll see more downfield throws. I think you’ll see some jump balls to Colbie Young. I got the Dawgs in a close one over Tennessee.”

Pollack, by the way, was quick to point out how loud Neyland Stadium can get.

“The loudest stadium I’ve heard at one time is Knoxville,” said Pollack. “I had somebody next to me when Travis Stephens caught the screen pass in 2001 and went to the house. And we were sitting next to each other and he was talking full on and I couldn’t hear a thing. Tennessee fans will be jacked up, they’ll be excited.”

Tennessee and Georgia will kick off at 3:30 PM ET on Saturday.
