Former Tennessee Vols linebacker Kevin Simon hinted this week at some potential big recruiting news for UT football.

Simon suggested on Wednesday on 99.1 The Sports Animal that 2027 five-star wide receiver Kesean Bowman, who has been committed to the Oregon Ducks since late July, is seeing orange.

“I think some good things are going to happen in Tennessee,” said Simon. “I know Kesean Bowman, who’s committed to Oregon, you know, he’s starting to feel a little different. He’s starting to feel the love from Tennessee. So, we’ll see…..He’s got orange in his sights.”

Bowman, 6-foot-1/174 lbs from Brentwood, TN, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 6 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 36 overall player in the 2027 recruiting class.

Simon has some unique insight into Bowman’s situation because his son, 2027 three-star safety Kenneth Simon, is teammates with Bowman at Brentwood Academy.

Kesean Bowman was impressed by Tennessee WR Chris Brazzell’s performance against Georgia

Bowman visited Tennessee this past weekend for the Vols’ matchup against the Georgia Bulldogs.

The five-star recruit was impressed by what he saw from Vols wide receiver Chris Brazzell (six receptions for 177 yards and three touchdowns).

“Watching Chris Brazzell have himself a day stood out,” said Bowman to On3 after the visit. Bowman also added that he “likes Tennessee a lot”.

Bowman is still committed to Oregon, but that may not be the case for much longer.

The Vols were without numerous key players against Georgia, including cornerbacks Jermod McCoy and Rickey Gibson, offensive lineman […]
