Cornerback Warren Burrell was one of the first Tennessee Vols players to enter the NCAA transfer portal after the conclusion of the 2023 regular season.

On Sunday, Burrell, who has one year of eligibility remaining, announced his transfer destination.

Burrell, a George native, will be playing for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in 2024.

The former three-star recruit totaled 91 tackles and one interception during his time at Tennessee.

Burrell has a couple of connections to the Georgia Tech program via his time at Tennessee.

Yellow Jackets defensive coordinator Kevin Sherrer was Tennessee's linebackers coach in 2019 (Burrell's true freshman season in Knoxville). Additionally, Georgia Tech quarterbacks coach Chris Weinke was an assistant at Tennessee in 2019 and 2020 while Burrell was on the roster.
