A former Tennessee Vols offensive lineman has a new home in college football.
According to a report from 247Sports, former Vols offensive lineman Bennett Warren has committed to Minnesota.
Warren, 6-7, 325 pounds, entered the transfer portal a couple of days after Tennessee lost to Illinois in the Music City Bowl.
Bennett Warren would’ve had a chance to compete for a starting job at Tennessee
Warren, a former four-star recruit from Houston, TX, would’ve had a chance to compete for the starting right tackle job at Tennessee had he stayed in Knoxville (due to Lance Heard entering the transfer portal).
Instead, the Vols will likely look to add a transfer offensive lineman to the roster, while also giving offensive lineman Jesse Perry, who can play either guard or tackle, a chance to win the starting right tackle job. David Sanders Jr is expected to start at left tackle for Tennessee in 2026.
Warren, by the way, played in 18 career games for the Volunteers.
