Former Tennessee Vols linebacker Martavius French shared a cool moment on the field at Neyland Stadium with a couple of former teammates on Saturday.

French, who originally signed with Tennessee out of high school, currently plays for UTSA.

The former Vol signed with the Vols during 2020 recruiting cycle along with Bryson Eason and Tamarion McDonald, two of his former teammates at Whitehaven High School.

Eason and McDonald are still playing for the Vols (in significant roles, too).

"Two of my best friends out of high school, they both were four-stars, too," said French earlier this spring. "And they're still there at Tennessee. We just wanted to go with each other to school. That's really what it was…we just wanted to be with each other after high school."

French had two tackles in UTSA's 45-14 loss to the Vols on Saturday. Eason had three tackles (including a half tackle for loss) while McDonald had seven tackles, a sack, two tackles for loss, and an interception.
