New York Giants second year wide receiver Jalin Hyatt could see his role expand this weekend against the Carolina Panthers in Germany.
Hyatt, a former Tennessee Vols standout, has just one reception for six yards this season while playing in a limited role for the Giants. The former Vol played just four snaps last weekend against the Washington Commanders.
On Thursday, Giants head coach Brian Daboll told reporters that wide receiver Darius Slayton, the player who is seeing snaps over Hyatt, is unlikely to make the trip to Germany due to a concussion.
If Slayton doesn't make the trip, it should result in Hyatt seeing his snap count increase.
The Giants' handling of Hyatt this season been odd. Despite the team's 2-7 record, New York has made virtually no effort to get the youngster some important snaps. That's despite the fact that the Giants traded up for Hyatt in the 2023 NFL Draft.
New York and Carolina will kick off at 9:30 AM ET on Sunday.
