Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jauan Jennings played one hell of a game on Sunday evening in Super Bowl LVIII.
But Jennings' huge game wasn't enough for the San Francisco 49ers to come out on top against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The former Vol threw a touchdown pass and he also caught four passes for 42 yards and a touchdown (and Jennings drew a key holding penalty in overtime) in the 49ers' 25-22 loss to the Chiefs.
After the game, Jennings was asked by a reporter how bad the Super Bowl loss hurt.
And he gave a painful response.
"Anybody got a nail he can step on? Probably about that much," said Jennings to a group of reporters.
Ouch.
Jennings is the ultimate competitor and he's one of the most "team-first" players in the NFL. It shouldn't come as a surprise that he said after the game that he felt like he could've done more to help the offense on Sunday.
It's easy to see why Jennings has long been an all-time favorite among Vols fans.
