Former Tennessee Vols defensive lineman Matthew Butler is reportedly "stealing the show" this week at the Shrine Bowl in Paradise, NV.

PFN Draft described Butler as "explosive" and said Butler could be a "riser" in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Butler, a former three-star recruit, played five seasons at Tennessee.

The Raleigh, NC native had the best year of his career in 2021 under defensive coordinator Tim Banks and defensive line coach Rodney Garner (one of the best defensive line coaches in the business).

Butler set career highs with 47 tackles, five sacks, and 8.5 tackles for loss this past season.

Maybe the NFL will learn from Trey Smith and Jauan Jennings not to pass on former Vols in the draft.
