Former Tennessee Vols defensive back Tamarion McDonald officially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft on Monday.

McDonald, a former three-star recruit from Memphis who signed with the Vols during the 2020 recruiting cycle, transferred from Tennessee to Louisville following the 2023 season.

"First and foremost, I want to thank God for blessing me with the abilities to do what I love most," wrote McDonald in an Instagram post. "I also want to acknowledge my family for their unconditional love and support. I'm very grateful, and I cannot thank you enough.

"To Tennessee and Louisville, thank you for allowing me to represent. I never took it for granted! The support from both fan bases has been invaluable throughout my journey! I want to also thank my coaches and teammates for pushing me on and off the field. I wouldn't be here without the foundation you've helped me build. I’ll forever cherish every memory and bond made. After much prayer, thought, and reflection, I'm excited to say I will be declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft."

McDonald played at Tennessee from 2020 to 2023. He's one of the players that elected to stay at UT to play for Josh Heupel after Jeremy Pruitt was fired due to a highly publicized recruiting scandal.

The former Vol totaled 115 tackles, nine tackles for loss, one sack, and four interceptions during his four seasons on Rocky Top. McDonald famously came down with an interception on the first play of the 2022 season for the Vols.
