A former Tennessee Vols star was on the sideline on Saturday to support UT in Atlanta in the season-opener against the Syracuse Orange.

Former Vols edge rusher James Pearce, a first round selection by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2025 NFL Draft, was on the sideline with his former team as Tennessee took down Syracuse 45-26 on Saturday afternoon.

Pearce will be back on the same field next Sunday (September 7) when the Falcons open the 2025 NFL season at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The former Tennessee pass rusher has to be happy with what he saw on Saturday as the Vols totaled five sacks in the win against Syracuse.

Pearce wasn’t the only former Vol in the house on Saturday, either.

Former Tennessee running back Alvin Kamara was also in the building to support the Vols.
